Profile

I am a native Scot with strong family links that stretch, through the Clan Chisholm and Inverness, in the highlands of Scotland, to the Capital City of Edinburgh and down to the Scottish Borders Region. My links with the Highlands include my Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather, Alexander, 16th Chief of Keppoch, who died leading the clan at Culloden .

I am married to Trish and we are fortunate to have four grown up children and I have a granddaughter of six years.

I am a former Police Officer and, after completing thirty years of police service, I retired to pursue my passion for Scotland, her heritage and her history. In order to enhance my knowledge and learn essential guiding skills I enrolled in an intensive two year course run by The University of Edinburgh in conjunction with the Scottish Tourist Guide Association.

I earned a diploma, from Edinburgh University, in Scottish Studies and qualified from the course as an STGA Blue Badge Tourist Guide for Scotland. I am now at your service to escort you on your journey of discovery through Scotland
